i highly doubt that this was true as the only real tough one i've ever had was to jurgen/ditch/anaram/zoof.  unless you mean you killed us after we slept which is of course highly possible as i don't think i have ever played a pia speeder after the first 5~ hrs max, that one vs the jurgen gal was the longest ever i believe. if you call winning after oppositions who WERE winning went to bed then fair enough, speeders are generally not worth my time (not unless wc's or some sort of tourney ofc: like in the recent pa wc which i won with the uk gals, and as the #1 planet in the gal one, and also as the #1 in the singles one (singles=1 man gals) but then this isn't pa:))

there's hundreds of great players, ditch lordn and kaifux would be my 3 alongside myself. ditch would generally be first to mind for any pia related thing for me, kaifux and i used to play speeders a lot some time back; and obviously did well. lordn also is a pretty obvious choice considering he was t3 in that speeder compo on DIAL-UP heh :D him and me were the only t10's in that which weren't min+ouzo and co i think

this being said there really is SHITLOADS of very quickwitted players who are more than able to being excellent in speeders

Well , I can understand that, I'd love a live version as well.
Some fans seem to be worried it won't do well in the charts.I'm sure George cares how the single will do, but it's not something that keeps him occupied all the time.Times have changed .

I agree with you Tony, this new album is kind of a joke. I guess George is tired of the music industry and his career has not been stable enough since the mid 90´s, I know he suffered personal issues, but smoking marihuana so much has changed him to been lazy.

The 25 Live Tour ( which is great ), I guess is like a farewell and thank you to all his fans. I doubt we will hear so much new material from him. Maybe a couple of singles every other time, but lets face it, the great George Michael is gone........

Oh no, no, no...she has a lot of hard work to do to be still part of those playlists...there´s been an exspensive campaign to promote COADF prior its release( Motorola campaign etc.)...she is still making videos that make her appear young and hip...she is working 2-3 hours every day in the gym. Yet still you won´t find any of those young teens at her concerts but mostly people between 30 and 40. As ioggie said...you may sell a few CD singles to younger listeners with the help of heavy rotation on BBC radio one or other stations...but that´s really unimportant these days..she makes the money because people who´ve been listening to her music from the early days or late eighties are still buying her music and tickets...I doubt they care about BBC radio one. I find stations like BBC radio one embarrassing...you have got 40 year old DJs playing music that´s designed for 14 year olds...I am not saying all this music is crap but the people who put together those playlists and who employ people like Moyles are...they are desperate to please a certain audience and I can´t believe that 14 year old really care...or listen to radio at all as much as we used to..or in the same way. Back to Madonna...she may have all the number ones but she pays a price for that. It is so much more than just having your record played on radio one....

Zespół Guen Stefani za czasów kiedy grała bardzo fajną muzyke śpiewając w zespole rockowym. Mam ich jedna płytke Rock Steady i jest bardzo przyjemna. Na pewno wszyscy kojarza kawałek "Hey baby". Chyba coś dla Yossa bo ostatnio ma ciagotki na żeńskie wokale Są czasem mocniejsze uderzenia w stylu Hella Good jak i reggaeowe rytmy jak w Underneath it All. Jak kto lubie.

Former world No.1 Marat Safin still on Hopman Cup card

HOPMAN Cup director Paul McNamee says former tennis world No.1 Marat Safin is still on the card for the Perth tournament in January.
Safin raised speculation of an intended retirement late last month when he lost in the first round of the Paris Masters to Argentina's Juan Monaco.

The fiery Russian was expected to play at the January 3-9 competition at Burswood Dome but was in doubt after he said: "I need to sit down and relax and just enjoy my life without tennis (for) a couple of months."

But Mr McNamee quelled fears of a Safin no-show at a recent sponsors' tennis pro-am function.

Mr McNamee was questioned whether the Russian's management had advised Hopman Cup organisers of a withdrawal, and confirmed no communication had been received.

But the tournament director is understood to have responded with strong belief of the 28-year-old's participation at the Hopman Cup and replied that at this stage, it could be assumed Safin would come to Perth because he would have said otherwise by now.

Mr McNamee confirmed the stance to PerthNow and was quick to assure that no news was good news.

"We still haven't heard anything and hopefully that's a good thing," said Mr McNamee.

In response to Safin's announcement of a possible retirement, Mr McNamee said the Russian was still considered likely for the Perth tournament.

"It's a big thing, retiring - it's not a small decision. I know from experience with a lot of players that it's one thing to think about it but it's another thing to really do it. I'm still hopeful that he'll keep playing," Mr McNamee said previously.

"He's such a character - there's only one Marat Safin."

Mr McNamee said Russian top-20 singles player Igor Andreev had been put on standby in the event Safin did not come to Perth.

Twelve years after Select kicked off Britpop as a media invention with their "Yanks Go Home" front page (for the uninitiated: "We have Tiger and The Tindersticks now, we don't need Soul Asylum and PM Dawn"), Touch has decided that "IT'S WAR", and sent the cream of the UK urban scene to a "swinging the Union Jack around a la Shirley Crabtree" cover shoot. 50 Cent reported "shook."

But, anyway, who's the line-up? Perennial Stylus favourite and most likely to blow in the 06 Sway takes the front, obviously. Novelty song merchant and bizarrely regularly chart botherer Lethal B (fair enough, even if the only good song he's done so far was pretty much stolen from 5ive hunk Abs' solo album). Playing the back, it's Killa Kela, because if there's one thing that says "Platinum sales and top 40 potential," it's a beat-boxer. And rounding off our quartet, Klashnekoff.

It's not a definite that the boy is going places (as we'll explain), but he certainly deserves to. Back in 2003 he dropped "Murda," a Mobb Deep-influenced piece of UK rap history, all creeping threats and heads getting "dropped on the doorstep like Dando," a track that still gets the heads nodding in respect when played out today. And, as is usually the case with these things, a hot track was followed-up by the crowding of major labels, no doubt keen to replicate the success. Thankfully, as Klash says with Mike Jones-levels of repetition on "Focus Mode": "This year, we self-cater." Going it on the minors, and with an album due on his own imprint at the start of next year, Focus Mode is the trailer for what's going to be one of the key UK releases of 2006.

So what's he coming with in the interim then? A lot of this is going to be familiar to anyone who copped his The Sagas of Klashnekoff release, last year's compilation of his street singles, and not only because this features remixes of "Zero" (given a Taz-style string workout with added weird space guitar noises), "Black Rose," and "Jankrowville." K-lash-ya-ras-claat-nek-off knows what he does best: claustrophobic rapping, with a great sense of menace and injustice hiding behind fog of near indecipherable neologisms and Hackney dialect, and he's not deviating from it at all on Focus Mode.

Highlights, alongside the revamps of his earlier stuff, are plenty. "Jamrock Takeover" grabs Damian Marley's beat, shoves it in the boot of a car, then plunges it at 80mph into the Thames, whilst Klash glides over the beat on some Robin Cousins-ish. "Ya Wrong" is the street joint, straight spitting with a reminder (as he proved on "Murda") that nobody says "Cunt" with the finesse the Son of Nia manages.

As for the oh-so-tiring debate about "Britishness" and Brit-hop? Well, American MCs wouldn't include a skit involving "Milos the Funky Kosovan," but that's to their detriment. Really, the only problem with this album is the problem that his career has borne out so far: when he's doing his soft tracks, they're still quite thuggish, and when he's doing hardcore you can still imagine Jo Whiley playing him. Compromise isn't the way to go here. He's got until next March, the street date for his Lion Hearts album, to sort these minor niggles out. You have to fancy him to do it. And if it is war, then Blighty really couldn't ask for a more committed soldier."[/i][/i]

The title says it all -- that this third album is where it's all about Britney. Actually, the titles say it all: Britney is "Overprotected," she pleads "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman," tries to let us all see "What It's Like to Be Me." All three songs are pivotal moments on Britney Spears' third album, the record where she strives to deepen her persona (not the same thing as her character, of course), making it more adult while still recognizably Britney. That much was evident from the selection of the first single, "I'm a Slave 4 U," a sultry Neptunes-produced salute to Prince that is so far removed from the big, glitzy Max Martin productions that are her signature that at first it sounds awkward, even wrong. As it grows, it sounds like one of her best singles -- a skittering, spare funk number that is a perfect next move for her teasing, unformed sexiness. Such a departure seems to signal a full album of surprises like that, especially when teamed with the aforementioned title, but Britney isn't that bold -- after it opens with the Neptunes' retro-future funk, it delves right back into Martin territory with "Overprotected." At first, that's a disappointment, but then the small, yet significant, changes become apparent. Rhythmically and melodically, the whole album is sharper, tougher than what came before. What used to be unabashedly frothy has some disco grit, underpinned by Spears' spunky self-determination that helps sell hooks that are already catchier, by and large, than those that populated her previous two albums. While there's no denying that this reinvention and statement of dogged individuality is no doubt a calculated move (and a brilliant, timely one at that), there's no denying that it's effective, in large part because Spears is committed to making this record work. She's co-written more songs than ever before, and these are strong selections, whether it's the hard-edged "Lonely," the sweet "That's Where You Take Me," or, especially, the neo-disco "Anticipating," one of the pure delights on this record. These are small steps forward -- really, the most overt steps forward are the collaborations with the Neptunes on "Slave" and "Boys," which are the sexiest sounding cuts she ever did -- but most of the Martin productions sound fuller (particularly the Dido-written ballad "I'm Not a Girl"), and Rodney Jerkins offers some welcome rhythmic invention on many of his contributions. This isn't a perfect record -- Martin stumbles on "Bombastic Love," Jerkins drops the ball on "I Love Rock N Roll" (this year's entry of the now obligatory cringe-inducing classic rock by Ms. Spears) -- but it does sound like the work of a star who has now found and refined her voice, resulting in her best record yet (and rivaling Mandy Moore's eponymous album as the best teen-pop record yet released). It's enough of a reinvention to suggest that Britney will know what to do when the teen-pop phenomenon of 1999-2001 passes for good.
